With just a few days to go before Zimbabwe officially kicks off the CAF African Schools Football Championship Continental Finals, the six Zonal Champions are hard at work in preparation for the finals of Africa’s largest schools football.

CAFOnline takes a look at the team profiles of the participating teams starting with the defending champions in the boys division, Tanzania.

Tanzania will defend their CAF African Schools Football Championship Boys title when they take to the pitch in Zimbabwe this year.

The team lifted the continental title for the second season in succession in Ghana last year to maintain a good run of form in Africa’s largest schools football competition.

They make a return to the continental finals this year as two-time CAF African Schools Football Championship holders and will be joint representatives of the CECAFA Zone along with newly crowned regional champions, Uganda.

Tanzania’s clinching of the title came through a hard-fought victory that was concluded through penalties against Senegal.

In addition to be crowned champions, the champions were also awarded the Fair Play award for their sportsmanship, while Rajabu Manyelezi was voted the Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament for his heroic saves leading to Tanzania’s title.
